New Public Library in Berea: Coming in 2007!

Plans for the new public library building in Berea are now on display at Madison County Public Library, 319 Chestnut Street, Berea!  We are all so excited!  Stop by and look at the future of Madison County Public.  If all goes according to plan we will be moving from this location to a temporary location in the old Dresser Industries building on Center Street sometime this spring, and we will operate from there for approximately 14 months while our new building is constructed here on Chestnut Street.  Citizens of Berea check out proportionately more books—13.07 books per patron per year—than any other public library users in Madison county*, so thanks for making this expansion so very necessary!  More information will be forthcoming as dates are firmed up:  we will appreciate volunteers to help us move…
*As compared to 9.52 books per patron in Richmond, and 11.46 per Bookmobile patron.
