In observance of National Library Card Sign-Up Month, Madison County Public Library invites you to join us for a month of programs at both locations of the Madison County Public Library. These programs will be held on Tuesdays at 6:30 in the Community Room of the Richmond location and on Thursdays at 6:30 pm in the theater or Community Room at the Berea location. Don’t have a library card? Stop by either location of the Public Library, or visit the Bookmobile, and sign up for a card today, then join us for some fun fall programs!
Our fourth week will include 2 programs per building, one for kids, and one for teens and adults. Both programs will begin at 6:30. This week we invite adults and teens to learn about Picasa Web Albums with John Payne. Picasa Web Albums is a free download supported by Google. Although not required for this program, if you have a laptop with wireless capabilities you are welcome to bring it to the program and start your web album right away. At the same time, kids are invited to a Pet Show and Dog Trick Demonstration, with Baby the Library Dog. Prize Certificates will be given in many categories, so “bring your pet to the library looking its best!” Children who don’t have a pet are invited to come and see the wide variety of animal friends in Madison County. Door Prizes will be given out at both programs.
These programs will be held on Tuesday, September 22 at the Richmond location, and on Thursday, September 24 at the Berea location. All of our programs are free and open to the public. No sign-ups are required for this week’s programs. The Richmond location of the Madison County Public Library is located at 507 West Main Street, and the Berea location is at 319 Chestnut Street. Anyone with special needs should contact the library at least 72 hours in advance of the program. For more information, contact Jody Baumgardner at 623-6704 or Abbie Harris at 986-7112. And be sure to watch for next week’s schedule, when we will offer activities concerning Freedom to Read and Banned Books Week. ###
