In observance of National Library Card Sign-Up Month, Madison County Public Library invites you to join us for a month of programs at both locations of the Madison County Public Library. These programs will be held on Tuesdays at 6:30 in the Community Room of the Richmond location and on Thursdays at 6:30 pm in the theater or Community Room at the Berea location. Don’t have a library card? Stop by either location of the Public Library, or visit the Bookmobile, and sign up for a card today, then join us for some fun fall programs!
Our second week will include 3 programs per building, one for kids, one for teens, and one for adults. All three programs will begin at 6:30, so adults can attend their program at the same time the kids go to another one. This week we present a “Make Your Own Summer Scrapbook Page with Bree McGaffey” workshop for the grownups. Please bring 4 or 5 summer pictures and any scrapbooking tools you might have. The Library will provide paper and embellishments. This workshop is limited to 20 people. Please sign up at the library location where you will be attending the program. At the same time, teens are invited to watch 17 Again, rated PG-13 and enjoy munching on free popcorn while youngsters participate in “Library Board Game Night.” Kids are invited to bring their favorite board game, or play one of the library’s board games, and play at the library! (Of course, kids may bring an adult guest if they want to play with Grandpa Gideon or Auntie Adelaide...) Door Prizes will be given out at each program.
All three programs will be held on Tuesday, September 8 at the Richmond location, and on Thursday, September 10 at the Berea location. All of our programs are free and open to the public. Sign-ups are required for this week’s scrapbooking programs. The Richmond location of the Madison County Public Library is located at 507 West Main Street, and the Berea location is at 319 Chestnut Street. Anyone with special needs should contact the library at least 72 hours in advance of the program. For more information, contact Jody Baumgardner at 623-6704 or Abbie Harris at 986-7112. And be sure to watch for next week’s schedule, when we will offer new programs. ###
